Job overview

The Billing Support Specialist (Remote) helps customers understand and resolve charges, payments, subscription updates, and invoice questions. Rather than handling every type of product or service issue, this role focuses on the financial side of the customer relationship: checking transaction details, explaining next steps, recording outcomes, and making sure payment-related cases reach the right team.

Cedar Valley Health Partners's listed opportunity is open to entry-level candidates, including career changers, recent graduates, and customer service professionals who want to build experience in payments or fintech support. You do not need an accounting degree, coding skills, or a billing certification to start. Paid training is provided for the relevant systems and procedures, while careful written communication and attention to detail are essential from day one.

What makes billing support different?

Billing support combines customer service with record accuracy. You may need to compare a payment date with an invoice, check whether a subscription change took effect, explain a refund status, or pass a disputed transaction to a specialist. You are not expected to make unsupported promises or independently decide complex financial disputes; follow the assignment's policy, document what you checked, and escalate when needed.
