Volunteer State Digital Health Security Solutions is seeking a Remote Healthcare Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security solutions protecting healthcare technology environments. This role focuses on cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response support, and improving healthcare data protection.

The ideal candidate has experience securing enterprise systems, analyzing security risks, implementing controls, and supporting cybersecurity programs in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement cybersecurity solutions for healthcare systems
• Monitor security events and investigate alerts
• Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation
• Configure security tools and technologies
• Support incident response activities
• Improve security policies and procedures
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments
• Collaborate with IT and compliance teams
• Protect healthcare applications and infrastructure
• Maintain cybersecurity documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
• 4+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience
